Primus Vineyards is located high in the Sierra Foothills in an area known as "Apple Hill." Our main building was once the original apple stand where local legend Marilyn Thomas first started baking her pies which transformed the area into Apple Hill.

Black Sheep Winery

We are located in the Gold Rush town of Murphys, California in Calaveras County in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Murphys, with its historic, tree-lined Main Street is a 2 1/2 hour drive east from most locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
